FacialProof started with a simple problem we kept seeing everywhere: apps were getting better, but fraud was getting faster.
Fake accounts, replay attacks, deepfake attempts, and “same person, new profile” abuse were slipping through because most teams were forced to choose between:
- heavyweight identity/KYC systems (slow, expensive, overkill), or
- basic face checks that break the moment attackers adapt
We built FacialProof to sit in the middle: high-signal human verification that’s fast to integrate and easy to control.

Our story
FacialProof was created in Prishtina, Kosovo, by a team focused on one thing: making facial verification practical for real products, not just demos.
Early on, we worked closely with teams fighting abuse in high-pressure environments—signups, re-authentication, account recovery, and repeat-user detection. The same pattern kept showing up:
- teams needed liveness (not a photo or screen replay)
- they needed consistency across sessions (same face returning)
- and they needed clear pass/fail signals they could actually trust
That became FacialProof’s foundation: prove a real human is present, then confirm it’s the same human again later—without forcing documents.
